Landscapes across coast, Andes and Amazon

Peru 360°

Peru is three countries stacked on top of each other, and most itineraries only visit one. Fourteen days is what it takes to cross all three without the trip becoming a series of airports — and the contrast between them is the whole point.

Itinerary

  1. •

    Day 1–3

    Lima and Paracas

The capital, then south to the Ballestas Islands and the desert reserve on the Pacific.

  2. •

    Day 4–8

    Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu

Acclimatisation in the valley, the citadel, and Cusco afterwards rather than before.

  3. •

    Day 9–12

    Tambopata

A short flight from Cusco into the rainforest: clay lick at dawn, Lake Sandoval, night walks.

  4. •

    Day 13–14

    Lima and departure

Back to the coast for a final dinner and the flight home.
